Somatic Coaching & Healing for Women

This event is precious for those who have experienced trauma and abuse within the marriage and meets on the first Monday of every month from 7 pm-7:30 pm on Zoom. To attend, register here.

What is Polyvagal Theory, and how does it help someone “feel safe?”

Polyvagal Theory emphasizes the role of the autonomic nervous system - especially the vagus nerve - in regulating our health and behavior. Created and developed by Stephen Porges, Ph.D., the theory describes the physiological/psychological states that underlie our daily behavior and challenges related to our wellness and mental health. By applying Polyvagal Theory to our personal lives as well as to disciplines such as medicine, education, and management, we can understand how safety, co-regulation, and connection are paramount to a healthy human experience.   In simple terms, Polyvagal Theory helps us understand how our body and brain work together to respond to stressors that are a part of everyday life as well as more significant experiences, such as trauma.

The free event is an introduction to a series of 1:1, hour-long coaching sessions. In order to unpack all the exercises and equip you with the necessary tools, Trust In Tessa offers a bundled package of a minimum of 3 sessions (Package costs $525).

When Tessa James works with clients using Somatic Polyvagal Perspective, she is intentional, intuitive, compassionate, and attuned. Her goal is to work in a trauma-informed way. She comes to you as a human who has experienced trauma and abuse in marriage. Much of Tessa’s style is rooted in the study of Somatic Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness & mind-body healing, connection, intuition development, embodiment, and healing. So, your work together will be attuned and tailored to you, your body, your nervous system, your goals, and your desires, pre-, present, and post-divorce.

Find out more about Polyvagal Theory and how Tessa James employs it by registering for the free event here.
